Paul Newby

                   Alvechurch Morris were saddened by the sudden death of Paul on Saturday 31 May. He had been a member of the side for over 10 years. Apart from being a fixture when we danced out he had also made the part of 'Sweet Moll' his own in our New Years Day Play.

                 Paul was well known for his love of real ale and when not dancing in the set he could usually be found near the pump dispensing the most treacle like beer he could find!!

                Paul will not only be missed by the morris, he was an active member of Village life, particularly as a member of the Alvechurch foot paths working party which he helped maintain when he wasn't out dancing.

               Our condolences go out to his family especially Lynn and his father Jeff.
